Last week was a big week in Berlin, where shows Bread and Butter and Seek were taking place. There were hundreds of labels looking to impress and the guys from Edwin were in town showing off their looks for Spring/Summer 2011. We’ve never seen such a stunning blend of workwear looks, varsity and denim and Edwin never fail to impress us with some killer pieces included. For those who don’t know, check out www.edwin-europe.com for more information.

Japanese brand Haversack take inspiration for their cleanly cut collections from both vintage workwear and military styles but add unique aspects of cutting edge innovation to finely tune each piece. They are a brand that aim to make timeless clothing utilising a mixture of both new and old ideas.

Their Spring/Summer 2011 collection looks to be built off a strong aesthetic that follows the basic principles of great design and functionality. Broken down into three separate lines, Haversack first boasts looks from its main label, including items deeply reflected by military uniform and hunting wear. Featured as well is Haversack General Garments, which takes the essence of French labor wear from the 1900′s and sailing cloths and Haversack Attire, influenced by the 30-40′s upper classes. For more information on the brand and this season’s collection, check out http://www.haversack.jp.

We’ve seen some great brand lookbooks and previews lately for the upcoming season and the recent sneak peek we got from PRPS is no exception. Taken straight from the lookbook itself, these straight up, classic workwear images are exactly what we’ve come to expect from a brand that is consistant in their clothing each and every year.

The collection looks spectacularly finished but maintains the rugged, workwear style for which PRPS is known and loved. There are some mega practical, military inspired khaki bits in the collection but our favourite piece has to be this immense, shearling denim jacket. Premiere young men’s lifestyle brand Aknowledge has been generating lot of interest as it looks to debut its first fall collection. Although a young brand, we really like the look of these bold shots and the mixtures of rinse washes and layering are stunning.

The collection exudes classic style with fashion forward experimentation and flawless innovative details. Aknowledge reveals captivatingly smart looks such as a medium rinse chambray paired with a dark rinse jean and vintage tri-denim layering looks of a timeless denim jacket over a light chambray and patchwork jeans.

With these unique silhouettes and top quality denim, Aknowledge seem to mean business and are looking to upset the big boys in becoming the ultimate brand for denim aficionados worldwide. Check out their Spring collection now on www.karmaloop.com.

Money is another brand which has been constantly strong for the last few seasons and their Spring Denim Collection is no different. Although no to everyone’s taste, Money continue to deliver knockout cuts and killer washes with rare currency detailing and raw denim to create the complete urban look.

This Spring season sees raw dark washes and blacks take centre stage with the staple currency detailing in the rear pockets. The brand are also now offering slimmer options for the acoustic generation, those with tastes influenced by music and the world around them, from social networking to http://www.casino.com/, and of course baggier cuts are available too.

This cauldron of trends re-born and re-invented have formed a look that only Money clothing can call their own. We’re sure that this eye-catching brand will continue raising eyebrows way into 2010 and beyond. For more information on Money Clothing, head on over to www.moneyclothing.com.

Evisu have had a hard time the last few years. People seemed to tire of the products and collections somewhat and the brand has had to sit back and have a bit of a re-think. We saw this sneak peek at the Fall/Winter 2010 Collection on AJANAKU and thought we had to give you guys a look-in. Evisu seemed to have revised both their denim and their garments and are concentrating on products and detailing for their second genes collection of 2010.

This new mixture of American and European design should bode well for the company who seem to have found a new direction under the watchful eyes of new CEO, Scott Morrison. We’re looking forward to seeing the whole collection and hope that it restores worldwide denimhead faith in this legendary streetwear brand. Check out more on Evisu at www.evisu.com.
