We just got word that Levi’s and Original Fake are continuing their collaboration this year. Denim Geek reported last year that the legendary denim label were teaming up with KAWS and Co for a few select samples and this 2010 will see a joint project re-working the 501 1944 jean from the Levi’s Vintage Collection.

Like last year, the jeans feature KAWS’s Chomper teeth on the back pocket as well as details which are pulled straight from the 1940s. If you like the look of them, these jeans should be available soon from Original Fake and www.levi.com.

OK, because of our recent lack of updates, we missed out on announcing some of the best sales which began between Christmas and New Year.  Not to worry though!  Most of those sales are still going and the reductions are getting better by the minute.  Of course, most of you know that January is a great time to hunt for those bargains and hopefully grab that pair of jeans you’ve been staring at all year at a fraction of the price!  We just wanted to let you guys know about these two amazing pairs of jeans currently selling for around half the RRP price.  We’re surprised there are any left in the stores…

If you’re after a new pair of raws for little money, consider these Nudie Average Joe Dry Selvedge Jeans.  The Japanese denim from which these are fashioned, is made from organic cotton and these jeans are cut straight with a fitted thigh.  As recommended with all raw denim, these should be worn for a few months and then washed in cold or warm water.  They’re currently on sale at My Wardrobe for a staggering £57.

The second pair of jeans that you must buy are these Levis Vintage 1901 Jeans from Oki-Ni.  These jeans are an exact replica of the 501 jeans worn in 1901 by US oil prospectors.  These loose fitting denims are constructed with 10oz selvedge denim and bear the original silver waist rivets designed to hold the eans up with braces.  We believe that every real denim geek should own a pair of LVCs and although these aren’t the best of the bunch, you can pick them up now at Oki-Ni for £65.00.  Act fast people!

    Levis Vintage Fall 2009

The latest collection from Levi’s Vintage is a celebration of the 94 year relationship with US denim supplier Cone Mills. The pair have been doing business since 1915, throughout the bulk of the 20th Century.

LVC have collaborated with Cone on two 1915XX pairs of jeans and both feature in their new Autumn 2009 Collection. These Limited Edition jeans are based on the 1915 ‘Homer’ archive jean and are constructed of specially made 11oz denim. The first pair feature the heavily weathered ‘Bailer’ wash and the second are a deep, dark, rigid denim.

The Levis Vintage Autumn Collection also includes a 1955 Sawtooth denim shirt and some iconic re-inventions of past styles, including rigid models 1944 501XX, 1966 501XX and the slim fitting 1967 505.

The LVC Autumn 2009 Collection is available on pre-order from Hanon now. Check it out at http://www.hanon-shop.com/DENIM-p-1-c-426.html.
